Close to Puerto Plata, 6 workers found in cave one or the biggest amber lump in the Dominican Republic.
Few weeks ago was found a 32 pounds amber pounds in the mountains of Puerto Plata, which seems to be the largest ever found.
The lump was taken out in an artesanal way by workers. They found it while working on the Luperón highway in the depth of the Septentrional mountain chain in "Mina Bracho".
The workers were emotionally impacted having discovered the largest dominican amber lump. The lump has been certified by a geologist named Anthony Shih, explaining this is a dark green amber lump which value must be defined and will be used in a museum.
The Dominican amber is qualified as one of the purest of the world. Transparent and with plenty of mosquitos fossiles in it, the Dominican amber is known all around the world. Not only yellow amber but green, red, blue and even purple.
